Betty's may be a plain Jane restaurant, but that's because their heart goes into their food and not the decor! You can't go wrong with breakfast at Betty's before hitting the slopes all day. I've been getting their plate-sized pancakes (and sometimes French toast) and hot chocolate since I was a kid and I've never been let down! Though I wish they would bring their whipped butter back.

Great breakfast! This is a small diner, but it's clean and air conditioned. Service was good, and our food arrived quickly. My eggs were over medium, just as requested. :) They only accept cash, so be sure to have some on you if you're heading here to eat. We'll be back tomorrow! Thanks, Betty's!

Finally had the chance to try Betty's. No family loves a breakfast diner more than mine. I was a little surprised at the food considering all the 5 star reviews. Either these 5 star reviewers don't have great breakfast spots where they are from or they are Betty's cousins and friends. The ham and cheese omelette was really good. Other than that, Betty's was just average. Pancakes were ok, nothing to 5 star over and the cinnamon roll was just ok. My rye toast was super stale. All in all I like this place, and I love hole in the wall diners and I will come back. But this is 3 stars folks, nothing more.

Wee went based on the reviews on Yelp and were a little bit disappointed. The food was good and the service was very good, but I am afraid it did not live up to the hype I have seen here. The place is small and kind of left us with the feeling that is was a bit rundown. The coffee was weak and flavorless just about colored water. We will probably not make a return trip.

First time at Betty's for breakfast before shredding the gnar all day at Boyne. Bacon was delicious and so was the biscuit and gravy. Actually the entire breakfast was awesome. Definitely good home cookin! I highly recommend this to begin your fun filled day up North.

Nothing better than breakfast at Betty's to kick off a Sunday full of skiing! Good eggs, pancakes, and omelets. Good authentic old school diner ski resort feel.

Quite possibly the best pancakes this side of Bay Harbor's Original House of Cakes. This is a long standing classic diner. One star demerit for weak coffee this morning.

Betty's is that greasy joint that you crave after a long night out. Corned beef was exactly what I expected. Cinnamon rolls should be warmed up though.

I don't watch the Food Network, but I wouldn't be surprised to see this featured on one of the "don't miss these great little spot" shows. With only a dozen or so tables, and an outside appearance that makes you recall the banjo-twanging scene from Deliverance, you'd think you'd be scared to eat here. Don't be! For breakfast you have to (HAVE TO) try at least one pancake. They're the size of a plate and I can only eat one, my husband loads up on all three. Add perfect bacon or sausage and that's it - ready for a nap. Coffee lover? I'm sure it's not a special blend, but somehow they make "Diner coffee" just as you'd imagine a perfect cup would be. Closer to noon? Burger or Monte Cristo, or Patty Melt. You won't regret totally blowing your diet. Be sure to note how all of the food is serve quickly, and at the perfect temperature. This family-run-for-generations place has the whole service thing down. If you go on a Sunday morning be prepared for a wait in the hallway or out the door - but it's normally a short wait due to the efficiency here. The tab will be a bit on the high side if you pile on the extras, but pile them on - they'll all taste perfect.

Boyne Falls is a one light town. But a major crossroad is the breakfast option. Do you go Betty's, the small cafe place on the right? or the Mountain Side Grilled, dolled up with advertisements and Karoke signs on the....stop...just pull into Betty's. It's a small 8 table cafe that just serves that basics, but they are fast and the food is good...and really cheap. A really cool view of Boyne Mountain to the west makes the five dollar breakfast a really cool steal when you visit northen michigan. The Omeletes are really good but if your a foodie, and looking for something new and different...try a monte crisco... turkey/ham with cream cheese and jelly. Its good and filling!

We stopped here on our way to Boyne and the service was great, the food filling and the coffee plentiful. Good place to eat but bring cash since they don't take credit cards.

Best place near Boyne Mountain for a pre ski day breakfast. Been going there for years, great food and a great value. Tables are for 2-4 people, so not a large group place. Cash only!

Located right next to the train tracks in Boyne Falls, it is evident that this place was meant to fill people's tummies before they boarded the train. Having only about 20 tables this place is packed Saturday and Sunday mornings with bikers, snowmobilers, and travelers alike. Blueberry pancakes are a must, and if there is a wait, no worries, the turn-over here is faster than you can say, "Eat at Betty's."
